FAQ:

WHO

Do I have to be a member of Bethany?

Of course not! We love first-timers and visitors - no experience or church membership necessary. We often host scout troops, extended families, and high school students seeking service hours. Everyone is welcome!

Can children participate?

Beyond Bethany is family-friendly and there are serving opportunities available for all ages. You can find the age limit for each opportunity on the registration page. Elementary students and younger must be accompanied by a parent/adult.  Childcare is available for children 3 and younger.

How do I sign up myself, family, and groups?

Each person participating including children requiring childcare must sign up individually.  Don’t worry, it won’t take long, we just need the name, email, age, and t-shirt size.

WHAT

What will I be doing?

Each opportunity is slightly different, from serving a simple meal to sorting donations to prepping supplies. Please see each opportunity’s description and  you will receive a reminder email with all pertinent information the week before.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, casual and modest clothing.  Everyone that registers before April 9th will be guaranteed a free t-shirt, so wear that!

What do I need to bring?

Nothing! Everything you need will be provided.

WHERE

Where does Beyond Bethany meet?

Before we begin serving, we'll gather in Bethany’s worship center to kick off our morning.

Where will I serve?

Each opportunity is different - you can choose one that takes place on the church campus or one that is beyond Bethany’s walls in Elkhorn or Omaha. Transportation is unique with each opportunity and will be communicated to you beforehand.

WHEN

When do I need to register? Can I walk-in instead?

Now!  If you want to receive a free t-shirt you must sign up by April 9th.  The deadline to sign up is April 23rd.

When should I arrive?

Saturday at 8:30 am.  You’ll make a nametag and we’ll start in the worship center for music, devotion, and instructions.

When will I be finished?

Each opportunity ends at a little different times with the intention of having everyone back at Bethany at noon for a free meal and fellowship.

Do I need to eat before I come?

We will have free granola bars in the morning and free lunch consisting of a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert, and water after serving at noon.
